Review: This was our second stay at Borgo Carpiano. After our first stay at Carpiano in 2009, we simply would not consider a trip to Italy without a stay at the Borgo. Marilisa and Ricardo are perfect hosts. Their consideration for their guests and their personal warmth will make you feel immediately at home. You just can’t believe that you haven’t known them for years! Before we arrived in Italy, I corresponded with Marilisa about some activities that we wanted to do after arriving. Marilisa went immediately to work and made wonderful arrangements for us, along with very helpful suggestions about how to make the best use of our time, while we were out and about during our stay. We were so looking forward to staying at Carpiano that this time we brought along family and friends so that they could experience how we felt. There were six of us and we had such a wonderful time that I can’t even begin to put it down into words! Every night we would sit at our table for the six of us and Ricardo would prepare his wonderful cuisine and select a wine for us. He is just a wonderful chef! My wife and I stayed in the room that we stayed in the first time we visited because we remembered the beautiful views of the valley out of our windows. Those views play across my mind’s eye as a symphony of the colors of fall, combined with moods of the sun and the clouds nestled in the peace and serenity of the Umbrian countryside --Ooh delightful! Everyone in our party was enthralled with the Borgo and we knew that even though we were only at the beginning of our stay in Italy, Carpiano would top everywhere else we would go. It is Italy at its best and if you go to Carpiano I'm sure that you will agree with me. In the meantime, I will from time to time look at my pictures from the Borgo, like a love-sick teenager and look forward to our next stay there!

Review: It was really our most amazing good fortune to find you on a very broad based 'agritourism' web site. We remember every day of our time spent at the Borgo in May this year, as if it were yesterday. We seldom plan to return to any one place, as there are so many beautiful places to explore in the world. But we a definitely planning to be back. The peace and beauty of the environment, the tastes and variety of the food and the warmth and genuine hospitality of Riccardo and Marilisa make this a truly extraordinary destination.

Review: Dear Riccardo and Marilisa It was again a wonderful experience at your Borgo. We've enjoyed it very much. Although we were a little bit afraid that it could never be the same as the first time, we have to say that our stay was even better than the first time. Ricatdo's kitchen is even better than last year, and that was then already on a high level.
