This story comes from the hope that the wonderful adventure we have had with our dog 'Harmony' could also become a possibility for other dogs less fortunate.

Harmony arrived at our restaurant in the Caribbean 15 years ago in the arms of one of our regular customers, who had rescued her from the street, captured by her unforgettable stare, but who had a flight to England that afternoon, so asked if we could take care of her and how could we say no? ...

From then, Harmony soon became the superstar of the place ... until one fine day our lives changed when we decided to return to Italy, where we didn't have a house with plenty of space and the stable environment that Harmony was used to, she had always been able to roam free. So many things to consider!

We decided to leave Harmony with people who were familiar in the beautiful Caribbean sun. But from this we learnt a big lesson: that your dog will follow you always, it's not a beautiful mansion or a small apartment that is important, she will love you anyway and for her that is what counts.

Weeks, a few months passed but the heart cannot be controlled and Marilisa, so determined when she wants something - Enough! I'm going back to Antigua to fetch Harmony and Whiskey (the cat!!!). But alas bureaucracy and the complications of man failed to allow a quest as noble as this!! To get back from Antigua we had to fly into England and quarantine regulations , how could we think of leaving a dog so used to being free, cooped up in a kennel for so long? .. but it's true what they say, that love will overcome any obstacle...

Marilisa, the dog and the cat flew, with the help of a friend who flies a small sightseeing plane, to Guadalupe and there, Harmony became French and flew onto Nice where she was collected by some other dear friends and then finally, she came to Italy. Believe me I still remember the joy when my wife, dog and cat arrived in Sorrento.

From there is the story that many of you know, happy moments at the Borgo, walks, travels and ....

So I hope that through this little story we can give a hand to many dogs that have not been so lucky and I know that there is nobody better than Marilisa that knows best how to help our four legged friends.
